The Reality Studios Multi-media Diary |

This diary is hopefully an attempt to show you the goings on in my little bedroom studio and Watty's backroom studio. You can hear a selection of Tunes, sounds, midi parts and pictures right here, now and online. Because we use external synths most of the time the midi loops are there for rythmic and melody purposes only, although I have made some effort to mimic the sounds. You'll need realplayer to hear most of our tune but you can download a free player from real.com and then listen away to your hearts content! |

16/03/2001 Wow... now theres a bit of a break in updates, you see Reality Studios have moved location in the real world (about 3 miles down the road) and i've only just got 'round updating the site, so on with the news. Plasmid have been continuing mastering and now have a total of 6 finished tracks including one of our favourites, Magical Passes, which we may let you hear some point soon. We've also been converting tracks from my studio to wattys, a laborious process if ever there was, but soon to yield some cool results. This means we are ever closer to our first album... at last!!! Plasmid have also been branching out into web design using flash etc, you can see the second partially finished webpage by clicking here Dawn of Reality has been also concentrating on Flash, getting some good ideas and I tell you what, if I crack this we should have some storming stuff for you to see and do on this website. This would include a flash mixer for some of our (DoR and Plasmid) tunes, we already have a working prototype but are currently experiencing timing problems... watch this space. |

02/01/2001 Ahh, me and watty have found a new toy. It's Flash 4 and we've just discovered some basics of what we can do... we like! The following is our first attempt at a plasmid flash player site... click here to see. DUTY OF CARE WARNING...yes,yes,yes we know it's basic, but hey! it's our first go and we just don't care. However you can expect to see some interesting stuff over the next few months. |

last news before going off on the crimbo hols, Its possibly one of my
favourite PLASMID trax and its fully mastered and complete... yes, thats
right, we have the RealAudio version of Bodice
Ripper online and ready just click its name.

As promised here is the RealAudio version of 144.
Its streaming at 16kbps as an experiment, to see if playback is improved
at all... I have to say that I think it reduces the quality a bit too
much, you still get a general idea of the track though, which is the main
thing, 'cos it's a great track. Let us know what you think.

29/10/2000 RealAudio versions of the original trax from Plasmid - CD1 are now ready for your listening pleasure. Energy Field - Plasmid Starry Night - Plasmid Website is nearly ready.Just recently been working on the re-mastering of the first Plasmid CD as we were slightly ham fisted with the production, mainly on the first track. So we've been messing with Energy Field by taking it back to the original Midi and audio files, started again and it now sounds a lot clearer, still more to do however. We've got comparatively little to do with starry night (although we haven't started yet!) but it will still get a makeover. |

Ha Ha Ha!!!... the first purely Plasmid CD is finished after barely one
month of getting to know the new equipment setup. It is imaginatively
titled CD1-Energy Field/Starry Night cos theres only 2 trax on it and
they're not bad for a first effort at full on mastering and production.
We're quite proud of it and hope to have some RealAudio versions uploaded
soon...watch this space!

03/09/2000 Planum Temporale have been working on a remix of Dawn of Reality track " U Da Man!" a bit of a techno floor stomper, just improvements and tweaking at the moment but its quite promising. below are a few samples and midi loops from the track. 02/09/2000 I've been messing with RealAudio with some success. I am in the process of converting the tracks from the second Reality Studios CD : Dawn of Reality and friends: 2nd Labour - X, into Real Media files although at the moment you will still have to download the files before you can listen to them, here are a couple of short examples from the CD.
